What are the benefits of enrolling in the PAA's Young Pilot Development Program

Studies have found that every hour in the simulator is worth two or more hours in an airplane. PAA has structured its development program so that a student, after going through the entire program, has a strong grasp of ATC communications, basic airport operations/procedures, VFR cross-country planning, and VFR flight maneuvers such as stalls, steep turns etc. This is to ensure that the transition process in to the aviation academy is seamless. Since the student will already have practiced the necessary maneuvers, less time is required in the actual aircraft before a maneuver is mastered.

In the long term, the implication is that the pilot development program is guaranteed to reduce the overall cost of flight training if a student decides to pursue a career as a pilot and enrolls in the aviation academy.

The plan is not to be a pilot.....can I still enroll in the program and fly the simulators as a hobby?

Even if the big picture is not to ultimately become a pilot, the world of aviation is full of enthusiasts who spend man hours flying virtual missions. PAA’s development program has a limited number of slots for individuals who have always wanted to discover the world of aviation. PAA has a specially designed component of the program to have you shooting visual and instrument approaches in no time.

I am already a pilot and I need a simulator to practice maneuvers, approaches or remain current. Is PAA’s simulation Lab available for me to use?

Of course……. Our facility is available to you. Just contact us and make a reservation. We are in the process of incorporating a fully enclosed, full motion General Aviation flight simulator for our professional pilot friends who want to use our facility.

How do I enroll in the PAA Young Pilots Development Program or the Summer aviation academy program?
